Spread betting and CFD provider London Capital Group (LCG) has agreed a four-year sponsorship deal with Swiss professional tennis player Stan Wawrinka.

Ranked no. 3 in the world, 31-year-old Wawrinka has won three Grand Slam tournaments and is currently competing at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals this week at London’s O2 Arena.

He will be a global brand ambassador for LCG, with the company’s logo to feature alongside FROMM and Yonex on his shirt sleeves during matches, beginning with yesterday’s Group A match against Japan’s Kei Nishikori, which he lost.

Commenting on the deal, Wawrinka said he was overjoyed to have partnered with a globally recognised name like LCG.

“They have put their full confidence behind me and I'm very excited to work with them as I start this new phase of my career,” he said.

Shares in London Capital Group plc (Co. Data) (LSE:LCG) were trading at 3.50 pence per share in London Tuesday.
