The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has ruled that an advertorial by operator LeoVegas was misleading as it confused customers as to what was being offered under a £1,500 'welcome bonus' promotion.
The advertorial appeared on the website of UK tabloid newspaper The Daily Mirror on November 15th last year, featuring text that stated: "How Brits can get an extra £1,500 from this online loophole."
"One online casino is giving Brits an extra special welcome bonus," the text continued. "Would you like to be £1500 better off? Online casino LeoVegas' latest welcome bonus has led to Brits getting an extra £1,500 to bet with by matching players' first four deposits."
