English Premier League newcomers Huddersfield Town has signed its biggest ever shirt sponsorship deal with Asian-facing betting operator Ope Sports.

The multi-year agreement will see Ope Sports’ logo feature across the team’s home and away shirts for the forthcoming 2017/18 season, which marks the Terriers’ return to top flight football for the first time in 45 years.

Opesports, which is operated by UK-licensed Vivaro Limited, will also benefit from pitch side LEDs and other branding at the stadium, as well as across online and social media channels in the UK and internationally.

“We are delighted to welcome Ope Sports as the Club’s official shirt sponsor,” said Dean Hoyle, chairman at Huddersfield Town. “This is without a doubt our biggest season to date as we play in the Premier League for the first time in our history.

“The growth of our international fanbase since promotion and the Premier League makes Ope Sports an attractive partner for our club, and our growing reach around world provides Ope Sports with an ideal platform to continue its own growth.”

A spokesperson for Ope Sports added: “It’s a hugely exciting time to partner with Huddersfield Town as they make their debut in the Premier League.

“The Premier League is undoubtedly the biggest league on the planet and to be associated to it through our partnership with The Terriers is great for our brand. We look forward to working with the club and its fans throughout the 2017/18 season.”
