Rugby league player suspended over match-fixing claims

The Rugby Football League (RFL), the governing body for professional rugby league football in the UK, has provisionally suspended the captain of third division club side Doncaster RLFC with immediate effect, pending the outcome of an investigation into alleged match-fixing.

In a statement yesterday, Co-operative Championship 1 side Doncaster confirmed that the RFL had provisionally suspended the club’s captain Shaun Leaf.
