Following a review of the state’s sports betting regulations, the Australian state of Victoria said Wednesday that it will move to develop criminal provisions to deter and deal with match-fixing as well as introduce legislation into Parliament to increase the penalties for operators offering a betting service on a sporting event without the approval of the relevant sports controlling body.
