The Illinois Senate approved legislation Wednesday that would expand gambling within the state, but only after adopting amendments which included the removal of internet gambling provisions from the bill.
The Senate voted 32-20 in favour of SB1739, shortly after it was passed by the Senate Assignments Committee. The bill now heads to the House for approval.
