Chinese state-affiliated media company Vodone has agreed a RMB150m (€18.6m) acquisition of provincial online lottery operator Beijing Caiwang Bohui Technology Company (BCBTC), as it seeks to strengthen its position in the Chinese sports lottery market.
The agreement will see Vodone acquire 100 per cent of the share capital of BCBTC, the exclusive online lottery provider in Hebei province, which is China's sixth largest province with a population of more than 71m.
