EC Internal Markets Commissioner Michel Barnier has said that the European Commission is continuing its dialogue with Belgian authorities over the country’s online gambling laws, resisting calls by Maltese MEP Simon Busuttil to rule on the legality of the legislation in relation to European law.
Commissioner Barnier’s statement was issued in response to a second request by Busuttil for a written answer from the Commission on the legality of the Belgian law.
