The European Commission has published its long awaited response and action plan following the organisation’s Green Paper consultation on online gambling launched in March 2011, but has stopped short of proposing EU-wide legislation on online gambling.
The policy document has been praised by private operators with regard to its commitment to enforce EU law and revisit outstanding infringement proceedings.
