Social networking site Facebook has seen payments revenues, comprised almost entirely of income from social games, grow steadily in its results for the second quarter of 2013, while the company’s push to establish itself on mobile has seen daily active user numbers for the channel surpass those of desktop.
Revenue for payments and other fees rose 11 per cent to $214m, driven primarily by revenues from games, which rose 7 per cent year-on-year.
