Betfair appoints BSkyB software engineering chief as CTO

UK-listed online gaming operator Betfair has hired former BSkyB director of software engineering Paul Cutter as the company’s new chief technology officer.

Cutter has been appointed to replace Phil Dixon, who left the company in November last year to join Tillster, a company developing self-service and digital engagement platforms for the restaurant industry. Dixon had replaced long-term incumbent Tony McAlister as CTO.
