Australian gaming giant Tabcorp Holdings has urged the country’s federal government to block unlicensed offshore gaming operators from taking bets from Australian residents.
Speaking at the company’s Annual General Meeting earlier Tuesday, Tabcorp chairman Paula Dwyer said that the Australian racing and betting industry continues to face various challenges, both domestically and internationally, with the rise of unlicensed offshore betting on Australian racing and sport a key area that needed to be addressed.
