The Iipay Nation of Santa Ysabel has hit back at California Attorney General Kamala Harris in response to her application for a permanent injunction against the launch of the tribe’s online bingo site DesertRoseBingo.com.
Cruz Bustamante, a spokesman for the tribe’s iGaming subsidiary Santa Ysabel Interactve, claims that the AG's lawsuit undermines the sovereign rights of Iipay Nation and its Class II gaming rights under federal law, pursuant to the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA).
