Icahn makes $20m pledge to keep Atlantic City’s Taj Mahal open

Atlantic City's Taj Mahal casino has been granted a stay of execution after Trump Entertainment Resorts’ main creditor Carl Icahn pledged $20m to keep the property open throughout bankruptcy proceedings.

The casino had been due to close tomorrow (December 20th), with parts of the venue such as the Chairman’s Hotel already shut down earlier this month.
