UK betting and gaming operator Betfred has signed a three-year deal to replace Dafabet as the new title sponsor of the snooker World Championships, the sport's biggest tournament which takes place next month at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England.
The prestigious event will be known as the Betfred World Snooker Championship until at least 2017. Betfred replaces Dafabet as sponsor, having previously sponsored the tournament from 2009 to 2012.
