Less than half of US adults are entering state lottery draws despite an increase in lottery sales, new research from Gallup reveals, with the findings indicating that higher-income individuals are more likely to play than those on lower incomes.
The survey involved a surprisingly small sample of 1,025 individuals aged 18 or older, with 49 per cent stating that they had bought a state lottery ticket in the past year.
