The government of Western Australia has revealed that it will sell off its TAB sports and horse racing betting business as it looks to slash state debt by AUD$1.3bn over the next four years.
The government said that it would look to sell the TAB as it looked to make up for the state's declining revenue, which is expected to fall by $10.21bn between 2014 and 2018.
