Austria’s Federal Administrative Court (Bundesverwaltungsgerichthof) has annulled two casino licences awarded to NOVOMATIC and one issued to a Swiss-German consortium comprising Casino Baden AG and Gauselmann Group, citing a lack of transparency in the licensing process.
The court said that it had noted complaints lodged by state-owned operator Casinos Austria against the decision of the Federal Ministry of Finance, and found that significant details of the evaluation criteria in the licensing process had not been properly disclosed.
