Imperus accelerates social casino growth with Akamon acquisition

Imperus Technologies is set to acquire Spanish-language social gaming studio Akamon Entertainment Millennium as part of its strategy to shift focus away from its real-money gaming products, claiming that the deal will see it join Caesars' Playtika and IGT's DoubleDown as a top-tier operator in the social casino sector.

The deal will be Imperus’ second social casino acquisition after February’s $100m purchase of Diwip, with the company entering into a binding option agreement to acquire Akamon for US$25.6m, [...]
