Singapore football match-fixer jailed for four years

One of Singapore’s most prolific match-fixers Rajendran Kurusamy has been jailed for four years for offences related to football match-fixing activities at the South East Asian Games earlier this year.

It is the highest sentence ever imposed in Singapore for a single match-fixing charge. Singaporean Kurusamy has already served a number of jail sentences for match-fixing - for 18 months in 1997 and 9 months in 1998.
