A consortium of Czech investors has suffered a major setback in its bid to secure a majority stake in Casinos Austria after the operator’s board unanimously rejected an attempt to increase its holding in the business.
The board’s decision effectively paves the way for NOVOMATIC, the other party bidding for control of Casinos Austria, to acquire a controlling stake in the company, but this has been attacked by the Czech consortium.
