Australia’s Fraud and Cyber Crime Group has raided a number of homes and business premises as part of a crackdown on cold call investment scams in Queensland, focused on fraudulent sports betting and share trading schemes.
Search warrants were executed at Broadbeach Waters, Broadbeach, Bundall and Surfers Paradise, with two men charged with major fraud for coordinating an unregulated business offering non-existent investment opportunities in each industry.
