France’s online gaming market has followed a familiar trajectory in the third quarter of the year, with sports betting emerging as the largest vertical while the growth of poker tournaments represents a long-awaited bright spot for the struggling vertical.
However poker’s overall decline meant that the market posted a marginal year-on-year decline in gross gaming revenue (GGR), which fell by 0.3 per cent to €176.1m.
