Daily fantasy sports (DFS) giant DraftKings has acquired Kountermove, a provider of daily fantasy mixed martial arts (MMA), boxing, kickboxing and pro jiu jitsu competitions, as it looks to broaden its combat sports offerings.
DraftKings believes the acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, builds on its existing platform and will further strengthen its leadership position in the combat daily fantasy sports sector, as well as accelerate its growth in the combat sports market.
