Betsson shares dip as Q1 growth slowed by exchange rate fluctuations

Swedish gaming operator Betsson has reported an 18 per cent increase in revenue to SEK1,000.1m (€108.9m) for the first quarter of 2016, despite results being negatively impacted by currency exchange rate fluctuations.

The operator benefited from its recent Europe-Bet acquisition, which contributed SEK93.9m during the quarter, having grown by 11 per cent year-on-year. On a constant currency basis, Europe-Bet revenue grew by 28 per cent.
