South Australia urges stricter national controls to minimise gambling harm

Ahead of a meeting of state and federal ministers in Melbourne Friday, South Australia's John Rau has declared that the current proposals for an Australian national consumer protection framework for online gambling are "cosmetic and inadequate" and must be replaced with stricter measures.

SA's Minister for Consumer and Business Services John Rau is to call for "decisive action" at a meeting tomorrow (March 31st), where a National Consumer Protection Framework for Online Wagering is being developed.
