Washington DC council members voted Tuesday in favour of a bill to allow online and retail sports betting in the district under the supervision of the DC Lottery.
The Sports Wagering Lottery Amendment Act of 2018 was introduced on September 18th and passed the Committee on Finance and Revenue on December 4th. It was approved by the Council of the District of Columbia on December 18th by a vote of 11 to 2.
