GVC Holdings' head of public and regulatory affairs Heike Mayer has been appointed as the new chairperson for sports betting integrity body ESSA, replacing the retiring Mike O'Kane in the role.
Mayer moves up from the vice-chair position to take on her new role, with O'Kane stepping down following his retirement from Ladbrokes, where he has worked since 1975. He has chaired ESSA since 2012.
