The US state of Maryland has awarded Scientific Games a new ten-year contract to continue operating the Maryland Lottery after dismissing complaints from the two losing bidders for the tender.
The Maryland Board of Public Works voted 2-1 in favour of awarding Scientific Games the contract, with Governor Larry Hagan and State Treasurer Nancy Kopp backing the supplier's bid. State Comptroller Peter Franchot voted against the move.
