ESSA's report into suspicious betting activity for the second quarter of 2017 shows that a total of 53 cases were flagged for further scrutiny, with tennis once again generating the most alerts.
Tennis accounted for 31 of the 53 cases, 59 per cent of the total, mostly from the lower tennis leagues, with football a distant second with 15 alerts.
Basketball generated a further five alerts, followed by handball and voleyball with one alert each.
