Tennessee has become the fourth US state to legalise sports betting this year after Governor Bill Lee allowed recently approved legislation to pass into law without his signature.
The online-only sports betting bill was returned to the legislature Friday and will take effect on July 1st.
Prospective licensees will be subject to an initial application fee of $50,000 and a license fee of $750,000, alongside a privilege tax of 20 per cent of adjusted gross income.
