Daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator DraftKings is moving into the real-money sports betting market with the appointment of industry executive Sean Hurley to lead the project.
As DraftKings' first head of sportsbook, Hurley will help to build, launch and grow the sports betting business, reporting to DraftKings co-founder and chief revenue officer Matt Kalish.
He will be based at DraftKings' newly-opened office in Hoboken, New Jersey.
