Recent efforts by Brazilian lawmakers to update the country's gambling legislation look likely to fail as the nation prepares for general elections later this year.
Currently there are two main bills in the Brazilian Congress which seek to legalise gaming and betting across the country, Senate (PLS 186/14) and another in the Chamber of Deputies (PL 442/9).
