London-listed gaming operator Rank Group has agreed to pay a £0.5m penalty package for failing to follow the UK Gambling Commission’s (UKGC) rules to protect problem gamblers.
The failures relate to a long-standing customer who gambled substantial amounts with Rank’s land-based Grosvenor Casino and online at Grosvenorcasinos.com. In one 24-hour period the customer lost £1m that had been credited to his account.
