Greece unveils proposals to regulate gambling

The Greek government has unveiled proposed legislation to regulate the country’s online and machine gaming market, admitting that the current system has created a contrary situation to the desired effect, while at the same time depriving the state of much needed revenues.

The Treasury department said that the proposed legislation is in response to the European Court of Justice’s ruling on the country’s gambling monopoly which was found to be illegal, and the €32,000 per day [...]
