William Hill CEO to step down as SPL chairman

William Hill CEO Ralph Topping has decided to step down from his role as independent chairman of the Scottish Premier League.

Topping steps down after more than three years with the SPL, having been appointed chairman in October 2009 to replace Lex Gould.

Topping will leave the role by the end of the current season in order to concentrate fully on his role as CEO of William Hill.
