Las Vegas Sands chief executive Sheldon Adelson has vigorously denied that he is to step down from the role as his chief operating officer Michael Leven announced his retirement.
Leven (76) announced that he will retire when his contract expires at the end of 2014, prompting 80 year-old Adelson to publicly state that he has no plans to reduce his duties or relinquish his position as chief executive and chairman of the casino group.
