A drive to develop its casino and live dealer verticals has seen GVC Holdings make three high-profile appointments to its product management team, bringing with them more than 30 years of experience in the iGaming industry. 

The three hires have been made to reflect “a renewed focus” on GVC’s gaming verticals, which the operator describes as having been a key priority since its acquisition of bwin.party in February this year.

“Collectively they bring over thirty years of experience in the online gaming sector, and more importantly, new skills-sets which enhance GVC’s capabilities in distinct areas such as product design, customer experience and live casino,” the operator said. Each of the three will report directly to chief product officer Liron Snir.

Robert Fell joins as head of casino product after a short stint with Lottoland. He has been hired alongside Andrew Whitworth as head of content, with Oliver Bartlett joining as head of live later next month.

As head of casino product, Fell will take on responsibility for developing GVC’s casino offering, tasked ensuring high quality content curation, ramping up customer engagement and attractive bonus offers.

He joins after less than six months with Lottoland, where he served as vice president of product. In the past he has also worked for high-profile companies including Gala Coral, as head of web and mobile for its interactive arm, and product and operations manager for Paddy Power.

He will work alongside new head of content Whitworth, who will manage the operator’s internal game development teams and work with external suppliers on game selection. Whitworth has more than 15 years’ industry experience, most recently working as head of gaming strategy for Talarius, the UK-facing subsidiary of Australia’s Tatts Group.

The final hire, Oliver Bartlett, will take up his role as head of live later this month. He will focus on expanding GVC’s live dealer offering across its customer-facing and B2B product line-up.

He has worked for some of the industry’s biggest names including Rank’s Grosvenor, Caesars Entertainment, Genting Group and Full Tilt. In his previous role he worked as head of VIP and as a project manager for BGO.com, overseeing the affiliate-turned-operator’s transition to Playtech software.
