Shares in online financial trading operator IG Group slumped by more than 10 per cent in London Thursday morning after the company confirmed that Peter Hetherington had stepped down as chief executive with immediate effect.
Hetherington has spent over 24 years at IG, having joined as a graduate trainee in January 1994, working his way up through the company to take over as CEO in October 2015.
