Looking to address match-fixing and protect the integrity of sport, Australia’s sports ministers have signed a national policy on match-fixing in sport on behalf of their state governments which will pursue consistent legislation to criminalise match-fixing.
Federal Minister for Sport Mark Arbib said the national policy would provide the foundation for all Australian governments to work with sports and betting companies to deter and deal with corruption in sport.
