The leading trade bodies representing public and private operators have welcomed key aspects of Commissioner Barnier’s recent speech on future Commission action on online gambling.
Both sides of the gambling industry have reacted positively to elements of the speech, albeit from a distinctly different perspective and in support of their ability to either open or protect existing market structures and the application of the EU Treaties and relevantcase law.
