Greece submitted draft legislation to the European Commission Wednesday that would hand a monopoly over virtually all forms of online gaming to Greek gambling operator OPAP, in which the government holds a 33 per cent stake.
In addition to its monopoly on sports betting, OPAP would also be handed a monopoly over all games of chance provided over the internet using random number generators (RNG), until October 12th 2020.
