Belgium's National Lottery recorded sales of €1.21bn in 2013, down 3.8 per cent versus the record breaking sales of 2012, with strong online growth partially offsetting declines in other areas of the business.
The National Lottery attributed the decline in sales to the weak economic environment, which it said caused players to spend less on lottery games than in previous years.
