US casino and racetrack operator Penn National Gaming has appointed Hollywood Casino general manager Bob Sheldon to the newly-created role of president of Las Vegas operations, taking responsibility for the Tropicana Las Vegas and the M Resort casinos.
The new position has been created following Penn’s $360m acquisition of Tropicana in April this year, and sees Sheldon promoted from his previous role managing the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, which is joint-owned with the International Speedway Corporation. [...]
