Camelot has filed a formal protest with the Illinois Department of Revenue after claiming that the selection process for the Illinois Lottery’s lucrative ten-year private management contract was “non-competitive” and “unevenly skewed” towards the existing vendors of the lottery, GTECH Corporation and Scientific Games, whose joint venture Northstar Lottery Group was selected ahead of Camelot as the lottery’s private manager last week.
