Chilean legislation seeks to legalize online gaming

Lawmakers in Chile have introduced legislation to legalize online gambling and bring the activity onshore and under the control of licensed land-based gaming operators.

Introduced last week by Senators Antonio Horvath and Ricardo Lagos, the bill seeks to amend the country’s gaming law (19.995) so that licensed land-based gaming operators can offer the same catalogue of approved games via the internet.
