VLTs took Italian gaming spend in June to new heights, with turnover on all gaming products up over a fifth year on year according to figures published by the Italian gaming authority AAMS. However, the marked decline in the fortunes of horse racing has led to the announcement of a shake-up that will see the gaming authority take over responsibility of the betting product and increase the rate of return to punters.
