This year’s G2E conference in Las Vegas was something of a coming out party for two of the world’s biggest casino suppliers. Aristocrat announced its first online deal with a US casino on the same day that Bally Technologies revealed Bally Interactive. They followed their big rivals WMS and IGT with fairly bold statements of where they believe they can profit from online technology.

All four come to the online party with different strategies and each is compelling in its own way. They also have the financial muscle and - crucially, they argue - the regulatory compliance that European operators and suppliers will have to win if they are to compete in the US.
