It has been such a year of woe for Ladbrokes that CEO Richard Glynn has been questioned recently about his career prospects. It is not a line of questioning likely to endear the interrogator to his subject, to any subject, but particularly one as pugnacious as Glynn.
Naturally, the question was met with a brusque response. Glynn is about 18 months into his tenure as CEO. On the one hand you could argue he is “only” 18 months into the new job but more demanding observers would say that we should be starting to see some results.
And the results this year have not been good.
