Atlantic City's Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa has announced the launch of its first mobile apps in New Jersey, with poker and casino products now available for Apple iOS devices.
Of the fifteen real-money gaming sites that went live in New Jersey at the end of last year, only a few currently have mobile offerings, including Betfaircasino.com (Trump Plaza/Betfair) and ucasino.com Trump Taj Mahal/Ultimate Gaming).
The Borgata's apps were developed by the casino’s iGaming partner bwin.party digital entertainment, and allow users to play on iPhone, iPad or iPad Touch devices.
The mobile poker offering allows players to play either real-money or free-play games, including a fast fold mode 'fast forward', and comes with a ‘quick-seat’ feature to allow players to select a particular seat at one of the Texas Hold’em tables on the site.
The casino app, meanwhile, gives players access to a range of slot and jackpot games, including $1m progressive slots. It also features table games including blackjack and roulette.
The Borgata’s vice president of information technology John Forelli said he was thrilled to launch mobile products, which he said continued the operator’s leadership role in the New Jersey iGaming market. He also revealed that the company would expand the offering to other mobile platforms in future.
“With unique and original iOS apps available now for both BorgataCasino.com and BorgataPoker.com, and the expansion of our mobile platform to include support for Android applications and 3G and 4G networks in the coming weeks, online users will have the ability to try their luck anytime and anywhere in the state,” Forelli said.
The bwin.party-operated Party Borgata network is currently the leading poker network in New Jersey, with a seven-day average of 280 players, according to data from Pokerscout.
